Starbucks at 2210-J South Shore Drive, Alameda, California.

Every year I purchase a "loaf" of gingerbread and pumpkin bread from Starbucks. This year
barista: it's 2.95
me: not a slice, I want the whole loaf
barista: yea, that's the loaf
I disagree and then gesture with my hands the size of the loaf. She asks a coworker who says we don't sell them like that here
me: I bought one here last year
barista: looking panicked
It just comes like that (pointing to the 3 slices in the display case)
me: ok, how many slices come in the box. I figure I'll just buy that many slices
barista: let me check
Comes back looking strained then says I don't know
Offers to ask her manager sitting at a table. Comes back with I'm sorry we don't know. At this point I smile sympathetically, and say just the gingerbread latte..i dare not ask for the 6 pumps I usually get, the poor girl may go into shock.
Then to top if off I wait patiently for my drink and they never call it out. There are 4 people ahead of me 1 or 2 behind. All get served. I look and see my cup just sitting. Sigh.

Good place for a coffe or a refresh drink
