    Coast Guard Island, Alameda is the central location for all west coast and Pacific Ocean operations. It includes the Coast Guard Exchange for tax-free merchandise, a gas pump, one Subway Sandwich shop, a full service galley that offers breakfast and lunch, an indoor gym/basketball court with a weight room, a small post office, several activity fields for sports and of course numerous commands serving the wide variety of roles the Coast Guard performs as part of it's core set of missions.

    One of the best places to work. I work on one of the ships and have no complaints. The base also has a nice size gym.
